Warranty & Returns FAQ – Open-Box Electronics

We want you to shop with confidence. This page explains what our warranty covers, how to report a defect, what proof is required, applicable time limits, and what is excluded. Please read this alongside our Return & Exchange Policy for the complete picture.

General Warranty Coverage

What does the warranty cover on open-box electronics?

Our warranty covers manufacturer or assembly defects present at the time of purchase — meaning the item does not perform its core function as described when you received it. This applies only to items sold by Bramptonbestdeals and does not extend or replace any separate manufacturer's warranty that may accompany the product.

Does the warranty apply to all open-box electronics?

The warranty applies to eligible open-box electronics unless otherwise noted on the product listing. Apple products are final sale and are not covered by our in-store warranty. If you have questions about a specific item, contact us before purchasing.

Reporting a Defect

How do I report a defect?

If you believe your item has a defect covered under our warranty, contact us as soon as possible by:

  • Email: include your order number, a description of the defect, and supporting photos or video.
  • In person: bring the item and your proof of purchase to our location during business hours.

We will review your claim and respond within 2–3 business days.

What information do I need to include when reporting a defect?

To process your claim promptly, please provide:

  • Your order number or receipt
  • A clear description of the issue (what the item is doing or not doing)
  • Photos or video demonstrating the defect
  • Date of purchase

Required Proof

What proof of purchase is required?

You must provide valid proof of purchase from Bramptonbestdeals — such as your original order confirmation email, digital receipt, or printed receipt. Claims without proof of purchase will not be processed.

Time Limits

How long do I have to report a warranty issue?

Warranty claims must be initiated within 7 days of the delivery or pick-up date. Claims submitted after this window will not be eligible for coverage under our warranty policy.

Why is the window 7 days?

Open-box electronics are inspected before sale and priced to reflect their condition. The 7-day window allows enough time to test your item while keeping our pricing fair for all customers.

Exclusions

What is NOT covered by the warranty?

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Apple products – all Apple items are final sale, no exceptions.
  • Damage caused by the buyer after purchase (drops, liquid damage, improper use, etc.)
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic issues disclosed in the product listing (scratches, scuffs, missing accessories noted at time of sale)
  • Items that have been tampered with, modified, or repaired by a third party
  • Lost or stolen items
  • Claims submitted after the 7-day window

What if my item was listed with known cosmetic flaws?

Any cosmetic imperfections noted in the product listing are considered disclosed and are not grounds for a warranty claim. Please review listings carefully before purchasing.

Warranty vs. Exchange Policy

What is the difference between a warranty claim and an exchange?

These are two separate processes:

  • Warranty claim: For items that arrive defective or non-functional due to a manufacturer issue. We review the claim and determine the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or store credit) on a case-by-case basis.
  • Exchange: For buyers who wish to exchange an item for another reason. Exchanges require the item to be in brand-new, unused condition and must be initiated within 7 days of purchase. Most sales are otherwise final.

A warranty claim is not the same as a general return or exchange, and vice versa.
